Meet 2019 Arts & Seafood Celebration Poster Artist

Gina SantaMaria-Debevec, is the winner of the 2019 Dania Beach Arts and Seafood Celebration Poster Art Design competition. The poster art competition was organized by the CRA in conjunction with the Creative Arts Council Advisory Board (CAC) and Gina’s entry was selected after submissions were reviewed by the CAC and CRA.
Here is a sneak peak of a portion of the winning poster. The complete artwork will be unveiled at the Celebration’s kickoff party in March.

Gina has been passionate about Art since childhood.  She has studied graphic design & took various classes learning to work with different mediums. She is also self-taught. Gina was awarded a 1st Place ribbon for one of her pieces in a Watercolor Exhibit in Buffalo, N.Y. her original hometown. She is proud to note that several businesses in her hometown are filled with displays of her artwork.
Currently Gina mainly works in acrylics, pastels & colored pencil. Numerous art pieces have been shared with family, friends and coworkers. Her occupation as a flight attendant allows her to work on another art form, caricature portraits, when time permits.
Gina plans to continue painting & learning new techniques. She is looking forward to participating in future festivals in the South Florida area.
