Calling Local Artists to Help Create the Face of the
Inaugural Dania Beach Arts & Seafood Celebration
Dania Beach, FL – – – Calling All Artists and Graphic Designers! The Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (DBCRA) is now accepting entries for the inaugural Dania Beach Arts & Seafood Celebration Poster Competition. The winning design will be awarded a $500 cash prize, and all entries are due to the DBCRA’s Office (100 W. Dania Beach Boulevard), no later than 5pm on January 30, 2013. The winning entry may be reproduced on posters, brochures, t-shirts and other event materials.
The Arts & Seafood Celebration is being held on Saturday & Sunday, April 6 & 7, 2013, in Frost Park 300 NE 2nd Street, adjacent to Dania Jai Alai. Area artists and graphic designers are asked to help create the face of the event by submitting original works for event poster art. The contest is open to all artists and graphic designers and there is no fee to enter.
The DBCRA is looking for images that are interesting, relevant and visually innovative. Submissions will be judged on overall impact, appropriateness of the work to the celebration and creativity. Entries may be in the form of photography, painting, graphic art or illustration and may be submitted in color or black and white.

The Dania Beach Arts & Seafood Festival is being held to promote awareness of the rebirth of the downtown Dania Beach area, its local businesses and visitor opportunities, as well as the rich and diverse variety of arts and culture found in the community.
